Solarize Irvine makes going solar easy and hassle-free
CEC’s Solarize program makes it easier and more affordable for homeowners to install solar power by offering vetted installers and discounted pricing through a streamlined, hassle-free process. As of early 2017, CEC’s Solarize programs have already helped more than 520 local homeowners go solar, bringing 2.6 megawatts of solar to the Central Coast.
For the Solarize Irvine program, a selection committee of University Hills residents worked with the Environmental Nonprofit “Community Environmental Council (CEC)” to vet solar installers and to negotiate discounted pricing for the Solarize Irvine Program. Through an RFP process, and CEC’s six years of experience in administering Solarize programs, we are very excited to announce a partnership with Urban Energy, a local company.
Urban Energy has agreed to offer discounted installs for Irvine residents who sign up for the program before July 19, 2017. The company will offer sizable discounts on solar systems using SunPower 327 AC panels or LG 320 panels. The selection committee evaluated the company’s business practices, installation practices, equipment, and customer reviews in making their decision.
