Meet the dedicated people behind the Community Environmental Council’s programs, events, and community outreach.
The President’s Council is a group of past executive directors, Board members, and founders – as well as esteemed CEC friends – who have given significantly of their time, effort and resources to the organization.
The CEC Board of Directors is committed to leading CEC and our region into a fossil free future.
The CEC Partnership Council is comprised of influential and successful business and community leaders who actively champion CEC’s mission.
CEC’s mission is to identify, advocate, and raise awareness about the most pressing environmental issues in the Santa Barbara region. Today, CEC is focused on pioneering real life solutions in areas with the biggest impact on climate change – most notably energy, transportation, and food systems.
Since 1970, CEC has led the Santa Barbara region – and at times California and the nation – in creative solutions to some of the toughest environmental problems. Read about how CEC has made history and evolved with the environmental movement.
The Community Environmental Council is a lean, fast-paced organization with a solid history of results. We consider our donors and supporters to be investors in our mission, and as such our intent is to be transparent in our finances and clear about our donor policies.
