Explore Ecology Waste Free Kitchen Workshop

April 12, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Michelle Aronson of Farmbelly will lead this part demonstration, part hands-on workshop for adults. You’ll learn tangible tools, tips, and recipes for reducing food waste in your home kitchen – everything from pantry organization to proper food storage, as well as creative ways to utilize every part of various fruits, veggies, and herbs. Together we will create quick pickles for you to take home from local farmers’ market vegetables.

The class will also include a crash course in everything you need to know about how to start your own worm bin. An Explore Ecology educator will teach you proper worm bin care and you’ll get your very own to take home, helping reduce kitchen waste even more.

Your ticket includes all materials, ingredients, farm fresh snacks to enjoy throughout the class, and a detailed packet featuring helpful recipes and tips for truly cooking from “root to stem.”

Tickets are $45.
