Future of Transportation

Supervisor Linda Parks will present the next session of her quarterly dinner series on the topic of the future of transportation at 7 p.m. Wed., Dec. 7 at Jeanette’s Edelweiss, 2160A Newbury Road, Newbury Park.

A no-host cocktail reception will begin at 6 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the discussion, which will include driverless cars, hydrogen cars and the shared transportation economy.

Speakers for this event are:

Steve Westly, venture capitalist and past state controller, who will speak on transportation and the new economy.

Peter Brown, multi-modal coordinator for Santa Barbara and instructor of sustainable transportation systems at San Francisco University, will discuss driverless cars.

Cameron Gray, an energy program associate with the Community Environmental Council, will speak about hydrogen cars.

The cost of the dinner is $35. Reservations are due by Dec. 1.
