The cycle of Climate Change Theatre Action 2020 plays began in October all over the world, coinciding with the United Nations COP (Conference of the Parties) meetings. These works celebrate the beauty of our planet while inspiring audiences to strive for a cleaner future. Lighting the Way is part of DramaDogs’ Relevant Action program, which addresses current social issues through the medium of theatre and experience-based art.
Over the past five years, DramaDogs and the SBPL have partnered to present many theatrical projects, including original theater pieces that align with the book club’s literary themes and creative interpretations of books from the Santa Barbara Reads series. The library is dedicated to educating, captivating, and connecting the community through literature, art, and performance.
This Project is funded in part by the Community Arts Grant Program using Funds provided by the City of Santa Barbara in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission.
