National Drive Electric Week is a collaboration between Plug In America, Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. Local sponsors of the Oxnard Electric Vehicle Roundup include the Los Padres Chapter of the Sierra Club, the Community Environmental Council and the Sustainability Council of Ventura County. On-the-ground support and organization is being provided by the EV Advocates of Ventura County.
The Best.Ride.EVer test-drive is presented by Community Environmental Council, in partnership with Charge Across Town, CALSTART, and the national Plug-in Electric Vehicle Collaborative. Local EV dealers will also have the latest models on display and available for a ride and drive, which can get you behind the wheel to experience driving on electric.
The show is part of National Drive Electric Week, a nationwide celebration held September 9-17, 2017 to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, and better for the environment. They also promote local jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
