The Fight For America’s Public Lands
WED, SEP 23 – 9:15 PM – WEST WIND DRIVE-IN
FREE Film Screening
Presented by Patagonia and UCSB Arts & Lectures
Two FREE community screenings to take place in advance of the film’s national release (Fri., Sept. 25 ahead of National Public Lands Day 2020) Part love letter, part political exposé, Public Trust investigates how we arrived at this precarious moment when America’s public lands face unprecedented threats. Focusing on three heated conflicts – a national monument in the Utah desert, a proposed mine in the Boundary Waters and oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge – the film makes a case for their continued protection Directed by Ojai-based David Garrett Byars (No Man’s Land) and executive produced by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, Robert Redford and Patagonia Films
